BIOGRAPHY

John Fisch has 40 years of experience as a corporate attorney in San Antonio.  John practiced in the business and transaction department of Matthews and Branscomb and was the Chairman of the Department  for 15 years during which he formed a close personal and professional relationship with Dan Elder.  After the combination of Matthews and Branscomb  with Cox & Smith Incorporated in 2004, John participated in the combined practice of Cox Smith Matthews as a shareholder in its Corporate Department.

During his 40 years of  practice, John helped form, finance, and acted as general counsel to many of the most innovative publicly traded  businesses in San Antonio, including Datapoint Corporation, Pioneer Drilling Corporation, Railtex, Inc., and Advanced Tobacco Products, Inc.  In addition to his representation of public companies, John managed the capital formation and acquisition activities of a large number of privately held companies in San Antonio and South Texas involved in a wide variety of businesses, including banking, multi location restaurants, retail food sales, oil and gas development, high tech communication product development and sales, construction aggregate production and sales, institutional furniture manufacturing and movie theater operations.  John also acted as general counsel for most of the businesses he represented.
